Compliance Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring that an practice follows the processes, regulations, standards, and internal policies related to workplace safety, health, and legal compliance. Their role often bridges regulatory compliance and occupational health and safety (OHS), helping the practice reduce risk, protect employees and patients. The post holder will be expected to take an active role in other related practice work, the role is very hands on and the post holder will need to be hand out to be successful. Here’s a breakdown of the role:
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations
- Investigate workplace accidents/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the practice stays compliant with laws.
- Update compliance / internal policies.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety and compliance requirements.
- Address non-compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
Skills Required
- Good understanding of why health and safety is important, why things need to be monitored and checked
- Understanding of risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
- Attention to detail and organised
- Communication sills are essential
- Problem-solving and helpful and willing nature .
This is a varied and interesting role, which requires an organised person to take on the challenge. This role is part time approx 20 hours per week and there is potential to combine this with the other part time role we currently have advertised. Please mention if you would be interested in combining the two part time roles. Please not the salary quoted is the full time equivalent and will be pro rate for the part time hours.
