Job Summary
We are compiling a small team of carers for a gentleman who is in the early stages of motor neurones disease.
The gentleman requires 24/7 care, which will be provided within his own home.
MND is a degenerative illness, we are therefore seeking carers who will remain committed to the role and have a genuine caring attitude.
Attitude, compassion and reliability are the key requirements for this role. Full training will be provided in relation to the gentleman’s medical needs.
1. Waking nights 9pm to 8am
2. Day shifts 10am to 8pm
The day shifts available Monday to Sunday.
Can split shifts into
10am to 3pm
3pm to 8pm.
Responsibilities.
- Administer Medication
- Administer personal Care
- Meal Support
- Light Household Tasks
Qualifications
- Knowledge of NIV, Suctioning and Catheters would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with client and his family.
- Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude towards individuals in need of support.
