Job Summary
The Outreach Worker plays a vital role in connecting communities with essential services and resources. This position involves engaging with a Learning disability, supporting them in the community The Outreach Worker will also be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies, fostering relationships with community partners, and promoting awareness through various channels, including social media.
Duties
- Conduct outreach activities to engage with people with a learning disability within their homes.
- Engage with outreach activities within the local community, going out for activities like bowling, watch movies and day trips to local places & activities.
- Develop a therapeutic relationship with the people you will be supporting.
- Collaborate with local organisations for fundraising efforts to support community initiatives.
- Maintain accurate administrative records of outreach activities, participant feedback, and programme outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and adjust strategies as necessary to meet community needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in outreach roles within community is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative skills with a focus on good record keeping.
- Experience in fundraising activities or managing community-based projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with supporting people with a learning disability
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to different levels of communication.
This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about making a difference in the community through effective outreach and education initiatives.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£1,300.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
