Job Summary
This job requires a community support worker who drives and has a car to provide practical and emotional support to adults with learning disabilities, empowering them to lead fulfilling, independent lives in the community. This includes assisting with daily living skills, promoting social inclusion, and supporting personal development.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support tailored to individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.
- Encourage independence and choice in daily routines, such as personal care, meal preparation, and managing finances.
- Assist in implementing individual care/support plans.

- Support individuals to access and participate in local activities, services, and social events.
- Facilitate the development of social skills and relationships.
- Assist with travel training and community navigation when required.

- Promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Support with medication in accordance with policies and training.
- Accompany service users to health appointments as needed.

- Promote the rights and dignity of each person.
- Advocate on behalf of individuals when necessary.
- Uphold confidentiality and equality principles.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records (e.g., support plans, daily logs, incident reports).
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and professionals.
- Participate in team meetings, supervisions, and training sessions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£1,300.00 per hour
