Community Support Worker
Astra Care Services Limited are a family run business that have been established for over 23 year providing star quality care for our elderly and disabled clients across Pendle, Burnley & Rossendale. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent care and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we support, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
Previous care experience is desirable but we may consider candidates without previous direct experience who can demonstrate the skills required. Full training will be given at our Brierfield office.
We currently have permanent full and part time fully flexible positions in the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale areas including evenings and weekends.
Main Duties
Personal Care:
To include but not limited to - washing, bathing, toileting, oral care, shaving, assisting with getting up in the morning / settling down for the night, assisting with medication
Meal Preparation: Menu planning, preparing meals, serving food
Domestic Tasks: Will include but not limited to, light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, collection of prescriptions
Social Stimulation: Accompanying service users to social events, medical appointments, shopping etc.

You will need to be fully flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and alternate weekends.
Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle is rdesirablebut not essential for certain localities.
