We're looking for Community Engagement Volunteers who can act as ambassadors for Dialogue Express Cafe
As a volunteer, you'll:-
- Help spread the word in your community about the café and the Jazz Festival before the event.
- Support with crowd management and guiding guests.
- Welcome visitors and share event information.
- Assist with seating, accessibility support, and children's activities.
- Be part of a community ambassador team from Carpenters Estate and Stratford.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate volunteer activities to ensure efficient project execution
- Manage community projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
- Provide leadership and guidance to fellow volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote community events and initiatives
- Assist in fundraising efforts to support community programmes and projects
- Manage social media accounts to increase awareness and engagement within the community
- Perform administrative tasks including record keeping, scheduling, and reporting on project progress
- Educate community members on public health issues through workshops or informational sessions
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills:
- Supervising experience in a volunteer or professional setting
- Proven project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong leadership capabilities that inspire and motivate others
- Experience in marketing strategies that effectively engage target audiences
- Background in fundraising activities with a track record of successful campaigns
- Proficiency in social media management to enhance outreach efforts
- Administrative experience that supports organisational efficiency
- Knowledge of public health principles or experience in teaching related topics
