As a Community Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Your responsibilities will include providing compassionate care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and home care practices.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide patient care compassionately.
- Proficiency in first aid and basic life support techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Ability to manage behaviours associated with cognitive impairments sensitively.
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Valid driving licence for transporting clients when necessary. This role is ideal for those who are committed to making a difference in the lives of others while working within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £28,326.56-£80,665.67 per year
