Lancashire Wildlife Trust runs and supports a number of projects working to engage people with nature, to improve their health and wellbeing. This role offers the opportunity for a proactive and dedicated individual to help support the work of the project, engaging both participants and the wider world with the work of the project.
The Engagement and Wellbeing service is an interconnected portfolio of opportunities for engagement from nature based social prescribing, to training and employability programmes as well as increased community activity with a focus on underserved and nature deprive communities. An example of some of our larger programmes: The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery; Championing Nature, Witton Greenhouses and West Pennine More Nature Partnership. Geographically, we inspire and motivate a diverse range of communities spanning the three counties. Echoing this diversity, we work within a variety of landscapes including costal, urban and rural, restoring nature for local wildlife.
The Engagement and Wellbeing Communications Officer will be a vital part of the team, working closely with Project Officers and the Communications Team to create and support a wide variety of effective and engaging communications aimed at a variety of audiences including new and existing service participants, stakeholders, funders and the general public. We are looking for someone who cares deeply about both nature and people to help make a real and lasting difference to both.
In return we offer 28 days holidays plus bank holidays per annum, increasing with length of service.
