Martin Williams Ltd was established in 1990 by Martin Williams and remains a family run business today. Due to continued growth we have an excellent opportunity for another Commercial Vehicle Body Builder to join Martin Williams Ltd. The company is one of the UK's leading providers of commercial and specialist vehicle services with depots in Dumfries and Hull.
The successful candidate will be part of a team maintaining the stores warehouse activities and ensure consistent quality standards are met, in line with company policies.
Manufacturing new commercial bodies these will include: box bodies, curtain siders, caravan transporters, de-mountable bodies, flatbed & Luton bodies as well as various bespoke and specialist requirements.
It is preferred that candidates have experience of manufacturing bodies or similar and are confident in working with various materials including steel, aluminum, wood, plastics and GRP panels, however, training will be given to the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Work to high standard of construction and manufacture to meet requirements of the customer and industry standards
- Work on own initiative or within a team.
Requirements:
- The ability to use electrical / air tools and general fabrication equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands on commitment to getting the job done
- Experience in fabrication and welding preferred but not essential
- Dependent upon the candidate’s experience, there will be opportunity to undertake on-site training as required
Salary will be dependent upon experience
