We’re expanding our business and recruiting Commercial Property Claims Handlers to join us on a full-time permanent basis.


As a Commercial Property Claims Handler, you’ll be responsible for managing all claims relating to commercial property. Working along side the wider claims functions, including Casualty and Motor Engineering, you’ll contribute to the strategic objectives of AXA Commercial whilst helping our customers protect what matters most to them. If you have a natural ability to relate to people and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, then you could be the perfect addition to our team.


Working Hours & Shift Pattern:
Full time, 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.


Training:


You’ll receive a comprehensive onsite induction from our specialist trainers to set you up for success in your new role. When you join us you will join an academy that will give you eight weeks dedicated training to ensure you are fully supported in your new role, which will be delivered onsite at our Bolton office.


Following training and once you demonstrate competency in your role, you’ll then transition to a hybrid working model, where you'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Typically, you should expect to start working a Hybrid way of working around the 6-month mark, depending on your individual development.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Ensuring each customer feels valued and supported with their claim, providing personalised and accurate information.
  • Staying composed and level-headed when faced with challenges to effectively assist and support customers during their most critical moments of need.
  • Taking proactive measures and utilising available resources to ensure the best possible outcome for each customer, addressing their specific needs related to their incident or claim.
  • You’ll be investigating and gathering evidence to help bring each claim to the point of conclusion.
  • Respond promptly to calls, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, precise and timely completion of case notes, logs and diaries for each customer.
  • Recognising the signs of a fraudulent claim and referring these for further investigation where needed.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.


This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
