As a Commercial Officer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Support Commercial Managers with administrative tasks, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth commercial operations.
- Maintain accurate records and manage correspondence and data related to procurement and commercial activities.
- Assist in supply market analysis to inform strategic procurement decisions and enhance market understanding.
- Contribute to the development of programme plans, procurement strategies, and contracting approaches.
- Participate in end-to-end procurement processes, including market research, tendering, and contract management.
- Prepare reports on commercial performance and support the development of sourcing plans in line with Defence commercial policy and procurement regulations.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, public sector procurement regulations, and hands-on experience supporting tenders via CCS frameworks.
- Skilled in managing workload, prioritising tasks, and communicating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with experience supporting end-to-end sourcing and a commitment to continuous learning (e.g., TPP e-training).
- Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is Security Check (SC).
