Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in fabricating and assembling components using CNC machinery. This role involves operating CNC turning machines, ensuring precision in the production of parts, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to fabricate parts as per design requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to machining processes or equipment.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to fabricate and assemble components effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, tooling, and measuring instruments relevant to CNC operations.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with logic controllers and materials handling is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
