Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Club Physio to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services to athletes and club members, ensuring their physical well-being and aiding in their recovery from injuries. This role requires a strong understanding of sports-related injuries, rehabilitation techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of athletes’ physical conditions and injuries.
- Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation programmes for injured players.
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatments, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
- Monitor athletes’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to optimise athlete performance and recovery.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention strategies and proper techniques for training.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments and progress for each athlete.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in sports physiotherapy practices.
Requirements
- A recognised or working towards a qualification in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with athletes or in a sports setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with athletes and staff.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by club activities.
- Knowledge of injury prevention techniques and rehabilitation protocols is advantageous.
