About the Role:

As a Client Tax Advisor, you will work closely with our directors and client managers to provide expert tax advice and strategies to our clients. You will take ownership of key client relationships, drive the delivery of complex tax projects, and mentor team members. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services, staying ahead of changes in tax legislation, and contributing to the strategic direction of our tax department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with directors and client managers to deliver top-notch compliance and advisory services.
  • Lead and manage complex tax projects for clients and their businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, handling queries in a positive and client-focused manner.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, offering support and performance feedback.
  • Prepare, review, and approve tax computations and returns.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and share insights with clients and the team.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the tax department, including business development initiatives and process improvements.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and in business development activities.
  • Integrate with and help develop our growing tax team, aligning with company values and fostering a strong team ethic.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to CTA or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory.
  • Excellent client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise work.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet development.
  • Willingness to undertake new and challenging tasks.

Desirable:


  • Experience in training and managing junior staff.
