Job Title: Cleaner
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Pension: Up to 9% (non-contractual)
Contract: Permanent
Hours required: 9 hours per week. Mon, Wed, Fri 4pm-7pm
Salary: £5714.28 per annum (£12.21 per hour)
Location: Yeovil
Holiday: 23 days pro-rata, plus Bank holidays
Job Context: We are recruiting a cleaner to provide a cleaning and sanitary service for our Yeovil office
Job Purpose: To ensure the offices are always clean and sanitary
Main Tasks:
To clean all communal areas, offices, kitchens and toilets. You will perform a range of duties, not limited to and including the following;
- Any carpets to be vacuumed – twice weekly
- Any stone floors/lino floors/wooden floors to be mopped and dried – twice Weekly
- Remove dust from desks, handrails, door handles - weekly
- Clean Windows - quarterly
- Clean all toilets – every working day
- Clean all kitchens – every working day
- Restock toilet rolls, soap and hand towels in toilets and kitchens – every working day
- Empty internal waste and recycling bins, sort recycling for collections, put waste and recycling bins out as per the council collection days
- Communicating to the Operations Manager when cleaning products/toilet rolls etc need to be ordered.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- To engage fully with the values and community of Mind in Somerset;
- To attend monthly one-to-one supervision with line manager, this could be in person or via teams
- Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues.
- Carry out any other appropriate tasks requested by the manager, to ensure the effective delivery and development of the service you provide.
- To follow Health & Safety and Security procedures.
- To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skillset whenever reasonable asked.

Essential:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous cleaning experience
- Knowledge of general hygiene practices
- Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Have an awareness of health and safety procedures
- Have an understanding of working with multiple cleaning products.
Desirable:
Level 2 NVQ in housekeeping
