Join Our Team as a Trainee Claims Verification Specialist

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career where your skills in Italian and English can make a real difference? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Claims Verification Specialist, playing a vital role in safeguarding financial transactions and preventing fraud.

You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the completeness and security of bank details for claims payments. You’ll validate new payee bank information, conduct essential call-back verifications, and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with financial crime policies and protecting our organisation from fraudulent activities.

How you'll make an impact
  • Review and confirm the authenticity of bank details and payment methods.
  • Verify the original receipt of bank details from payees or their representatives.
  • Conduct call-back verifications with ultimate payees or authorised representatives.
  • Perform independent searches to validate contact information.
  • Ask security questions to confirm the identity of payees.
  • Ensure adherence to the ‘Anti-Financial Crime Policy’ and onboarding controls for new details.
  • Collaborate with claims handlers and IBA team members to resolve verification issues.
  • Work with IBA colleagues and multilingual professionals across the business to support verification processes.
  • Seek guidance from senior stakeholders on complex cases.
  • Maintain organised and prioritised callback records, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Support the wider Insurance Broker Accounting (IBA) claims team as needed to facilitate claims payments and bank reconciliations.

About You
  • Fluency in both English and Italian is essential.
  • Previous experience in an office or call centre environment, including making outbound telephone calls to customers.
  • Professional demeanour and presentation.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive ‘can-do’ approach.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
