We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chip Shop Worker to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food to our customers. As a Chip Shop Worker, you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, primarily focusing on chips and related dishes.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen.
Skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
- Culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous.
