The Role: Children's Residential Care Worker
As a Residential Care Worker, you’ll be a positive influence, a role model, and a steady presence in a young person’s life. Your role will vary from day to day – and that’s what makes it so rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people with their education, behaviour, and mental well-being
- Help them experience a childhood they can cherish and grow from
- Accompany them to appointments and work closely with professionals (doctors, social workers, teachers)
- Engage them in enriching activities and encourage positive behaviour
- Respond effectively in emergencies to ensure safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate records, handovers, risk assessments, and care plans
- Ensure compliance with regulations: Health & Safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, and others

- Compassionate, patient, and driven individuals
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Flexibility to work on a set rota including 15-hour day/evening shifts, sleep-ins, and weekends
