We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team. As a Childcare Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their well-being and promoting their growth.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in an afterschool care setting.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that children's needs are met in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care provided within the nursery.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in early childhood education or childcare is desirable however training can be provided.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members or volunteers.
- A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
