The Team
Chief of Staff to the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) is a strategic and operational leader within the Enterprise Marketing function, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role acts as the connective tissue across enterprise and divisional marketing teams, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives, governance, talent programs, budget oversight, and internal communications. Chief of Staff to the CMO is responsible for driving cohesion, executional discipline, and executive-level visibility for enterprise marketing priorities across S&P Global.

The Impact
This position enhances the efficiency, consistency, and strategic focus of enterprise marketing by coordinating initiatives across functions, business divisions, and senior leadership. As a trusted advisor and liaison, the Director ensures that marketing priorities are executed with precision, progress is measured and communicated effectively, and leadership remains informed on all critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic, financial, operational, and cultural initiatives that drive marketing transformation bringing to life the Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT) vision.
Support the operationalisation of the strategies set by the CMO and the Enterprise Marketing leaders.
Analyze historical performance data, market intelligence, and scenario planning to inform strategic initiatives and budgeting.
Serve as the strategic liaison across marketing and other functions, ensuring integrated execution against marketing objectives aligned with the Chief Commercial Office’s goals
Act as the primary driver of the CMO Council, supporting agenda creation, priority setting, capturing strategic decisions, ensuring cross-divisional follow-ups, and promoting enterprise-wide alignment.
Oversee change management, internal communications, and cultural initiatives to embed strategic priorities and reinforce the marketing organization's vision and values in partnership with internal communications.
Manage enterprise-wide marketing governance, including leadership meeting cadences, decision tracking, and cross-functional review processes (e.g., QBRs, functional reviews, pipeline reviews).
Direct the tracking, reporting, and risk management of key marketing initiatives, ensuring visibility and proactive management of dependencies.
Collaborate with HR and marketing leadership on talent programs such as onboarding, learning and development, and leadership recognition initiatives.
Manage marketing budget tracking and forecasting processes with finance, ensuring strategic alignment, transparency, and proactive financial stewardship.
Draft and deliver executive-level materials for board meetings, QBRs, investor conferences, leadership meetings, and employee town halls.

What We’re Looking For:Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required preferred
Experience : 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, strategy, program management, or executive support roles
Entrepreneurial mindset, outcome-oriented and pragmatic self starter
Exceptional organizational and communication skills with an ability to distil complexity into clear, concise deliverables
Demonstrated success operating in matrixed global environments and building trusted relationships across levels and functions
Experience leading cross-functional programs and managing internal communications for senior stakeholders
High degree of business and finance acumen, discretion, and integrity

Preferred:
Familiarity with enterprise marketing functions, B2B marketing operations, campaign planning and sales cycles
Proficiency with performance measurement, budget governance, and reporting frameworks
Background in sales, finance, consulting or corporate strategy
