We are now looking for a Chartered Financial Planner to join our team playing a key role in servicing our existing client base and developing new business through our internal network of accountants and business advisers.

Main Duties:
The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:
- Delivering professional, client-focused financial planning advice to new and existing clients
- Building relationships and developing business through introducers
- Networking and presenting to groups of professionals
- Engaging with clients to understand their objectives and agree project fees
- Completing fact finds and ensuring all “know your customer” requirements are met
- Researching existing arrangements and evaluating alternative solutions to achieve client objectives
- Preparing suitability reports and explaining recommendations in plain, practical language
- Supporting clients with any required paperwork and applications
- Conducting regular reviews for existing clients
- Maintaining accurate records, files, and supporting documentation
- Staying up to date with all relevant products, legislation, and technical changes
- Maintaining a current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and CPD requirements
- Ensuring all work complies with FCA rules, the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the firm’s compliance procedures
- Providing cover for colleagues during holidays or absence
- Playing an active role in meeting business targets and contributing to the wider success of the financial planning team
Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Level 6 CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning
- CII Chartered Financial Planner status
- Competent Adviser Status (current)
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in financial services with proven suitability report writing skills
- SOLLA Accreditation would be desirable
- Experience working in an IFA practice environment would be desirable
- Familiarity with FE Analytics, and Intelligent Office would be desirable
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach
- Confident decision-maker who can influence and persuade
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
