Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Shop Assistant to work alongside the Shop Manager in the daily operations of our retail establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong retail qualities and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Shop Assistant you will work closely with the manager driving sales, and ensuring a well-organised and efficient shop environment.
Duties
- Fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Sales operations of a busy charity shop
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide outstanding service and address any concerns or enquiries alongside the Shop Manager
- Carry out daily tasks and schedules to optimise workflow and ensure all shop activities run smoothly.
- Conduct regular checks and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain administrative records related to sales including till work
- Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members to enhance overall shop performance.
Experience
- Proven experience within a retail environment is essential.
- Strong customer services skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks related to retail operations is preferred or willing to learn.
- Keeping the shop clean and organised.
- Putting stock out, steaming, donation sorting etc
Any other duties associated to a busy charity shop
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £23,809.50-£24,375.00 per year
