This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to maternity cover, for a fixed term contract or secondment for one year into our evolving service.

The post holder will be part of our Team and will provide high intensity interventions in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to our complex yet rewarding to work with client group.

The post holder will work with client’s who have a range of difficulties related to their eating difficulties for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.

To provide high intensity evidence based psychological interventions to clients of the Eating disorder service within secondary care; providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-CBT colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

As well as holding a caseload of clients the post holder will clinically supervise other CBT Therapists and Trainee CBT Therapists. Providing guidance and advice to supervisees on patient treatment, onward referrals and caseload management. The post holder has no line management responsibilities.

They will also support the clinical lead in managing the waitlists for the service and allowing smooth throughput for our clients by appropriate referral acceptance and allocation.
