We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Sports Coach to deliver engaging and fun school sports clubs at a Primary school in Kew, near Richmond-upon-Thames.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in sports coaching, particularly with primary-aged children.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate school sports sessions for Key Stage 1 and 2 students on throughout the week.
- Ensure all sessions are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all participants.
- Manage the group effectively, ensuring all children are engaged and supported.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to children to help them develop their skills.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Hours
- Morning sports club, 8:00 - 8:45am, Monday & Friday
- Lunchtime sports club, 12:25 - 1:25pm, Monday - Friday
- After school sports club, 3:20 - 4:20pm, Monday - Friday
Requirements:
- Experience in coaching sports to children, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., FA Level 1/2 for football, or equivalent for other sports).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young children.
- A passion for sport and physical activity.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
