Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to join our team as Casual Library Support Assistants. Working across our network of community libraries, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our library services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers with book loans, returns, and general enquiries
- Supporting users with digital services and library IT systems
- Helping to maintain an organised, welcoming library environment
- Supporting events, activities, and reading programmes for all age groups
- Working as part of a friendly team to promote reading and lifelong learning
Essential Requirements:
- A friendly, approachable manner and strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including evenings and weekends
- Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- A commitment to excellent customer service and community engagement
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is desirable but not essential
