Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and guest preferences.
- Assist in the planning and development of new recipes and menu items.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Engage in upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience for guests.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
