Are you a caring person, with a vision to help make people feel good and support them to get the best out of life? - then a career in social care is calling you!
We are looking to expand our amazing team of carers, with day time roles available (from 21 to 34.5 hrs per week following a rota system).
Very few jobs have such an impact on people’s lives and as a carer at Stewton House, you will be a core component to enrich the lives of our residents. As an employee with us, you will receive full training and be supported to further develop your skills and abilities. As a carer, you will also be entitled to apply for the Blue Light Discount Card scheme, which opens the door to many savings across High Street and online shopping/services.
Carers at Stewton house are the lifeline for our residents and clients. Life gets more challenging as we get older, so as one of our carers you will provide help and support to our people’s lives through a range of care related duties, such as assisting residents with personal care, meal times, daily activities and family/friend liaison. There can be sad moments as you support some residents in the final chapters of their life, but there are also lots of opportunities to enjoy positive moments with residents and the team too. Most importantly, our staff team are committed to making everyone feel safe, secure and comfortable around the home.
Our carers work on a rota system, either full or part time. Day shifts can vary between 7.30 am to 8.00 pm, seven days a week (with different shifts being available between these times) – including weekends and bank holidays. There can also be the availability of overtime to cover holidays and sickness when required. Pay will be reflected depending on experience, starting from £12.21 per hour.
All new staff at Stewton House are subject to a minimum of 12-week probation period. During this time an introduction programme will be completed, including mandatory training, supervision support and competency checks. Ongoing support, appraisals and supervisions are provided for all staff thereafter. Caring staff are also able to complete the industry standard Care Certificate and work towards NVQs in Health and Social care.
