Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care or care home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, a basic understanding of IT for record-keeping, and the ability to drive to various locations as required. You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities, promoting independence where possible.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is a must.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record management. .
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
