Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. Experience is not required — if you are kind, caring, and empathetic, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote a positive, nurturing environment
- Monitor and document any changes in health or behavior
- Administer medications in accordance with prescribed care plans
- Prepare and assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Maintain cleanliness in clients' living areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist clients with mobility and use of equipment such as hoists or Hoyer lifts, when needed
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental condition
- Deliver specialized care to individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure high-quality, person-centred care
Training and Support
You will receive full training before visiting clients and ongoing support throughout your role. You will also work towards obtaining your Care Certificate, with opportunities for continuous professional development and supervision.
Requirements
You will need a full UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
