As a Café Waitress, you will be the face of the café, ensuring guests have a warm and welcoming experience. Your role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting are key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with seating.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer queries.
- Ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Order & Service Management:
- Communicate orders to the kitchen and barista station.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly.
- Check on customers throughout their visit and handle any issues professionally.
- Process payments and operate the cash register.
- Cleaning & Organization:
- Keep tables clean and set up for new guests.
- Ensure the café floor, counters, and service areas remain tidy.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Stock & Supplies:
- Assist in restocking utensils, napkins, and other service items.
- Monitor and report low stock items to management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
- Friendly and approachable personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- A positive attitude and a passion for great customer service.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
