Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food preparation, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service and high-quality food to our customers. This role requires effective team management, as well as the ability to supervise kitchen activities and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Duties
- Manage daily café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food production to ensure timely service and quality standards are met.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking when necessary, maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance their skills and improve overall performance.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a café or restaurant environment.
- Strong team management abilities with a focus on leadership and motivation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food production techniques and health regulations.
- Ability to supervise staff while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
