We are seeking a passionate and dedicated cafe assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Uphold health and safety regulations in all aspects of food handling and preparation.
Skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and create a positive environment.
