Job Summary
We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant/Baristas on a job share basis to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Hours of Work
10:00am - 15:30pm : Monday to Sunday (7 day rota basis)
Duties
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment to create high-quality drinks, ensuring barista skills are utilised effectively.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries they may have.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is preferred, particularly in serving and food preparation roles.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Barista experience is highly desirable to enhance our beverage offerings.
- Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
