Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical boat repairs and maintenance, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that all engines are operating at optimal levels, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.
Duties
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on the boats and ensure they are in good working condition for hire with our clients
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs as necessary, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with other team members at other bases to identify areas for improvement in mechanical performance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing tasks.
- Keep the workshop clean and organised, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use.
- During the season delivering excellent customer care and boat instruction to our clients
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, diesel engines, and components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools used in mechanical repairs.
- An understanding of 12 volt electrical systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driving licence is mandatory.

Pay: £27,040.00-£28,080.00 per year
