At first glance, our Charity Bike Shops may look like any other bike shop—offering bicycles, workshop services, and a variety of new parts and accessories etc. However, what sets us apart is our purpose. Every bike we sell has been donated by the public, refurbished with care, and is sold to generate funds for Cyclists Fighting Cancer (CFC), our parent charity which for 20 years has been committed to supporting children and young people living with cancer across London and the whole UK. Since our founding, we have helped over 10,000 children with adapted and standard bikes, trikes, tandems, and other equipment that aid treatment and recovery.
About the Role: We seek a candidate with experience in the cycle trade who values sustainability and recognises the positive social impact bicycles can have. The ideal candidate should be experienced in workshop services, with mechanical expertise sufficient to carry out all servicing levels and supervise volunteers confidently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Services: Work with the workshop team to ensure the highest standards of bike refurbishments and repairs.
- Sales & Customer Service: As and when required engage with customers on the shop floor, provide knowledgeable service, and assist with bike and accessory purchases.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Cycle Trade Experience: Minimum of 4 years working within a bike workshop environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical skills with the ability to oversee workshop activities and mentor junior/volunteer mechanics.
- Communication Skills: Clear, positive communicator able to work with colleagues, volunteers, and our charity staff.
- Commitment to Sustainability & Social Good: Enthusiastic about the environmental and community benefits of cycling for the greater good.

Work Schedule: Five full days per week, within shop operations 10am - 6pm Monday to Saturday (closed on Sundays).
Location Requirement: Candidates must reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Canada Water, London before starting the role.
