Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various structures and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for working with both hand tools and power tools to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
- Perform joinery tasks, including cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople on site, including carpenters and masons.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required during the assembly of larger structures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Carry out painting tasks as needed to finish projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience with masonry work is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is essential.
