Nestled in the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, just a stone’s throw from Grassington and Skipton, The Old School Tea Room is a bustling, much-loved café known for its cosy charm, friendly service and delicious homemade food.
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and energetic Front of House superstars to join our close-knit team. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys making people feel welcome.
We’re especially keen to hear from experienced hospitality pros who are confident enough to take the lead on Sundays, keeping the team motivated and service running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Greeting guests with a warm smile and making them feel right at home
- Taking orders quickly and accurately, with an eye for the little details
- Serving up gorgeous food and drinks with care and great presentation
- Jumping in to help with food prep and pot wash when needed — teamwork is everything here!
- Keeping the café looking spotless and well-organised throughout the day
- Dealing with queries or issues with confidence and a calm, friendly approach
- Working closely with the rest of the team to keep everything ticking like clockwork

What We’re Looking For:
- Hospitality or café experience is a big plus (especially if you’ve worked in busy, fast-paced places!)
- Confident, friendly communication and a genuine love of people
- Someone who keeps cool under pressure and stays organised during a rush
- A good understanding of allergens and food safety
- Bonus points if you are barista trained and can bake!
- Flexible availability, especially weekends — and we’d love a strong Sunday lead
- Own transport is essential as we’re a bit off the beaten track
We close on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day — so those are guaranteed days off — and we also take a two-week break in January (some annual leave will be used for this).
