Job: Bar Supervisor
Based in: Covent Garden, London
We are looking for a Bar Supervisor to join and challenge our dynamic team! You will be responsible for various operational matters and support the Restaurant General Manager in their daily tasks. Together, you will lead and coordinate the smooth running of the bar with a special focus on guest experience and team satisfaction/training and inventory management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the bar operations, ensuring the smooth running of the bar.
- Create the cocktails and drinks menu, changing the menu at least once per season.
- Ensure menus are up-to-date and correct.
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, all while adhering to our principle of aiming to provide the best drinking experience without a hint of pretension.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers, deal with customer feedback and share it to the management team.
- Oversee the cleanliness of staff and the bar area and pay attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations.
- Report every maintenance action and repairs needed to the Restaurant Manager.
- In cooperation with the Restaurant Manager, participate on the onboarding of the bar team.
- Train and supervise the bar team, encouraging upselling.
- Put in place opening and closing procedures for the bar team. Regularly verify and record that the procedures are followed along.
- In cooperation with the Restaurant Manager monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock for: Alcohols & Spirits, Softs, Fruits, Glassware, Bartending materials (shakers, strainers, etc), Bartending accessories (napkins, straws, etc)
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in a similar role within a comparable venue.
- Have a passion for Food & Beverage industry
- Be well spoken with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to details and customer needs.
- Social, engaging and motivated.
- Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations.
- Knowledge as well as abilities in other languages would be beneficial.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
