Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Asbestos Surveyour to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough surveys and assessments of buildings and sites to identify the presence of asbestos-containing materials. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, protecting both workers and the public from potential asbestos exposure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive asbestos surveys in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Collect samples of suspected asbestos materials for laboratory analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, including recommendations for management or removal of asbestos.
- Liaise with clients to discuss survey results and provide expert advice on asbestos management.
- Maintain accurate records of all surveys, findings, and correspondence.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies related to asbestos surveying.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including contractors and regulatory bodies, to ensure safe practices are followed.
- Carry out some unlicesed asbestos remaovl works full training wil be provided.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyour or in a similar role is essential
- Familiarity with current legislation regarding asbestos management and removal.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying materials and preparing reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in asbestos surveying are advantageous but not mandatory.
