Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Aquatics Sales Store Assistant to join saltwater team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for marine life, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to help customers create their perfect saltwater aquariums. A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to drive business is a must. Previous retail experience within the industry is advantageous but non essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selection and provide expert advice on saltwater aquatics including corals, fish and invertebrates.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store and display tanks and systems.
- Monitor the health and well-being of marine life in the store.
- Process sales transactions and handle customer enquiries.
- Stock and replenish shelves with products as needed.
- Educate customers on best practices for maintaining saltwater aquariums.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service, preferably in the aquatics.
- Strong knowledge of saltwater aquariums, marine fish, and coral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- A positive attitude and a passion for marine life.
