Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy in medication administration.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.
- Serve customers in the shop and assist them with their queries
- Ensure that all prescriptions are accurately filled and labelled according to established protocols.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all pharmaceutical supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with the management of stock levels, reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both staff and patients.
- Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including record keeping and data entry.
Skills :
- Demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Proficiency in medication administration, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Previous experience advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Be able to stand 8-9 hours per day on your feet.
- Be able to adhere and follow SOPs at all times.
