Starling Aerospace is seeking an experienced Trimmer/Upholsterer
Starling is seeking an experienced aircraft Trimmer for an immediate start at its workshop facility in
Leatherhead, Surrey.
The successful candidate must be multi-skilled in all aspects of soft trim furnishings, including flat and
curved panel finishing, seat upholstery, pattern development and fitment to a very high standard.
Skills in trimming of Tedlar, leather and other covering materials are essential.
The role demands that the person is able to work independently and be able to develop seat upholstery
and style from conceptual drawings and photos from bare frame to finished product. This will include
foam work, pattern development, sewing / top stitching and fitment of finished article.
The candidate MUST be able to read engineering drawings, be a good team player and have current
experience in aircraft, marine or related industries.
Required skills:
• Soft trim furnishings, seat upholstery, pattern development
- Trimming leather and Tedlar
- Sewing / top stitching
- Competent in understanding engineering drawings
Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 2:00pm
- Overtime as required by the business

At least 2 years' experience (preferred)
