What are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit energetic and passionate people to support the production team by receiving product into the factory; experience is not necessary as all training will be provided!

Health & Safety overview:
Every individual has a responsibility for Health & Safety. The jobholder must ensure that his/her actions do not put oneself and others at risk and cooperate fully with the company in respect to Health & Safety.
Always ensure that the on-site “clean-as-you-go” procedure is followed. Ensure that any egg or debris on the floor is cleared immediately.
Ensure that fire-exits and walkways are kept clear. Ensure that fire doors are closed. Never block access to fire extinguishers or doors.
Report all accidents and near-misses to the relevant line manager immediately. Ensure that any damage to plant or machinery is reported to the relevant line manager immediately.
Ensure that before using any equipment the job holder will check for damage or excessive wear. They will also check that the equipment is clear of debris and can function safely. Ensure that all guards are replaced if removed. Obey any specific work practices I.e., start-up procedures.
Always obey signs and wear protective clothing where required.
Food Safety, Quality, and Integrity overview:
Every individual has the responsibility to prevent and report any incident or activity which may cause a potential food safety, legality, quality, or integrity issue.
Always ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with written procedures and in such a manner that they protect raw materials and products from any form of potential contamination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of core responsibilities to be completed by the jobholder. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines as outlined above
- Focus on the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified by the Site Manager, and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets
- Actively control the rotation and allocation of egg from the Temping Rooms to optimise efficiency and reduce waste
- Order egg requirements as per business needs, highlight stock level concerns.
- Order packaging requirements as per business needs
- Working closely with the engineering team, agree and implement improvements to the process to maximise machine productivity and minimise down-time
- Plan production runs to minimise waste, maximise product life, meet customer dispatch times, and achieve the best possible throughput
- Drive product quality, integrity, and traceability. Ensure work is completed to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is completed
- Work in conjunction with central / QA teams to implement legislative changes / management system updates
- Conduct regular team briefs with direct reports
- Adopt a “Right First Time” approach to their work
- Operate the departments within the agreed headcount to achieve the wage budget
- Conduct performance reviews of the production team, and report feedback to the Site Manager
- Ensure that company standards are adhered to.
- Follow the company’s disciplinary procedures and conduct disciplinaries where appropriate
- Identify and develop potential within the team, and coordinate the relevant training and support required
- Foster a constructive relationship with all departments and ensure lines of communication are open
- Identify areas of inefficiency and waste. In agreement with the Site Manager, implement and review the agreed changes
- Be proactive with continuous improvement ideas and projects
- Undertake risk assessments within the site
- Undertake Work Instructions within the site
- Undertake accident investigations as required
- The site is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times. Therefore, it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are all in line with customer specifications at all times
- Play an active role in third party audits where required
- Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues, subordinates, and managers
- Be responsible for the site in the absence of the Site Manager, escalating problems as required
The demands of the business may change in line with customer requirements and changes may be made to the above guidelines. The jobholder should be flexible to the changing demands of the business.

The jobholder may be expected to complete training in the following areas. The requirements will be dependent on the jobholder’s previous experience, knowledge, qualifications, and the demands of the specific activities.
