We’re Hiring: 1:1 Activity Assistant
This role is perfect for someone who’s patient, upbeat, and has experience supporting children with additional needs. You’ll be working closely with a child on a one-to-one basis, helping them access all the fun that camp has to offer – from tie-dye and football to glitter crafts and drama games.
You’ll be their cheerleader, their calm space, and their encourager to try new things and join in with the group when they feel ready.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting a specific child or small group to fully take part in our camp activities
- Creating a safe, encouraging space for a child who may struggle emotionally or socially
- Using positive strategies and gentle redirection to manage behaviour when needed
- Stepping away from the main group with the child if they need a break
- Assisting the Group Leader by encouraging all children to join in and have fun
- Being present, enthusiastic, and willing to get involved in everything from dodgeball to dance-offs
Who We’ Are Looking For:
We want people who get kids – especially those who need a little extra patience and understanding. You should:
- Have at least one year of experience working with children aged 4 to 11
- Have at least one year of experience supporting children with additional needs
- Be full of positive energy and ready to be flexible, kind, and involved
- Be someone kids can trust, talk to, and feel safe with
- Be up for silly games, group activities, glitter, and surprises

All staff must attend our Summer Training Day on Sunday 28 July from 9am to 5pm.
