Eridge House are looking to welcome an Activities Coordinator to join their team.
As an activities coordinator at Eridge House, you’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents. You’ll work alongside our management team to devise an imaginative, imaginative, and fun activity planner to suit residents’ abilities. You’ll receive feedback from residents to create a tailored programme to maximise each individual’s wellbeing and independence.
The ideal candidate will have the interpersonal preparation abilities that will ensure every resident is making the most of each day and receive the social interaction that they wish. They’ll need to have a creative approach to inspire our residents and staff to get involved with activities both within the home and in the local community.
Main responsibilities and duties include:
- Help residents to socialise within the home and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes and abilities.
- Accompany residents where possible to activities outside the home which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
- Help to create an atmosphere that suits individual residents within the home.
- Maintain full and accurate records of activities using appropriate record keeping documents and assist the management team with reviewing these documents.
- Discuss the aims and objectives of activities planned with staff members.
- Provide comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for residents who are unable to undertake any form of activity or prefer to have activities on a one-to one basis.
This role is for 15 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm-5pm.
