Are a detail-driven professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for process? We're on the hunt for an Accounts Receivable Lead who’s ready to take charge, streamline operations, and be a key part of our finance team.
Purpose of the role
The purpose of the AR Lead is to actively manage the sales ledgers for all Kennel Club businesses in accordance with all terms and conditions of trade and banking requirements; to deliver effective and improved cash management and cash availability; to ensure that “fit for purpose” financial controls and governance are continually operated; to develop and uphold strong customer relationships; to support the profitable long-term growth and sustainability of the business and to advocate finance business partnering across the business.
What the role involves
- Managing the Order to Cash Sales Ledger ensuring that invoices are raised, processed and managed in line with policies and procedures.
- Processing and reconciliation of incoming payments ensuring that everything accounted for and posted and dealing with issues.
- Ensuring that credit and cash are controlled and ensuring that the month end debtor ledger fully reconciles
- Improving customer service and processes to drive efficiency, accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure that through business systems and technology all data is accurate and retains integrity and complies with data protection

- Support wider finance team initiatives or projects as required
What you'll bring to the role
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. AAT Level 2/3 or equivalent) or in the process of working towards one.
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures and accounts payable principles.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, ERP systems) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Comfortably working independently in a hands-on role and as part of a high-performing team
- Self-starter with the passion and initiative to drive business change and deliver business improvement, continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or finance role is preferred.
