We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Head Office team in North Shields.

Job Description
In this role, you will report to and assist the Management Accountant to provide robust and continuously improving accounting and management information to the businesses.
The key role of the Accounts Assistant will be to assist with entering and using the information on Sage 200.
Working at our North Shields office. Full time is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 0800-1630 and 0800-1330 on Friday. Part time could be considered for the right candidate.
Duties Include:
- ·Review, verify, and process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Manage the payments run and ensure timely vendor payments
- Process expense claim and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor master data in Sage
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Experience Required:
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to work individually on own initiative or as part of a team as required
- Strong IT skills in all MS Office products, especially intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge and experience.
- Experience working with a computerised accounting system (Sage 200 experience a plus)
- Good knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, best practice and VAT regulations.
