Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be AAT Level 3 qualified (Level 2 considered with strong relevant experience) and possess a solid understanding of core accounting processes. They demonstrate a high level of accuracy and efficiency in managing day-to-day financial tasks, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.
Motivated, trustworthy, and detail-focused, they bring a proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting the finance function and contributing to the wider success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of daily financial reporting
- Recording, filing, and matching of invoices
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Support continuous system and process improvements
- Demonstrate strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase ledger transactions across all expenditure streams
- Handle a high volume of purchase and sales transactions
- Answer supplier calls and manage queries regarding payments
- Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate records
- Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Set up and maintain supplier account details within the purchase ledger
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
Required Skills and Experience
- AAT Level 3 qualified (or Level 2 with substantial, relevant experience)
- Proven background in supplier and client relationship management
- Excellent computerised accounting system skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support team goals

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
